I recently launched Round 6 of the Welsh Government’s Coastal Communities Fund which supports the sustainable economic development of coastal areas, which is being delivered by The National Lottery Community Fund.
Grants of between £50,000-£300,000 are available for private, public, and third sector organisations that will sustainably create and/or safeguard jobs in these areas. Round 6 will also include a funding strand specifically targeted at supporting economic and social regeneration in town centre areas.
To date, over £16 million has been awarded in Wales through the programme to fund 174 projects. Previous rounds have attracted a diverse range of initiatives that have built on the wide strengths of the coastal economy including in the tourism, agriculture and manufacturing sectors. We also know from previous rounds that the programme is always oversubscribed and we anticipate it will be very competitive again this year. We have therefore introduced a two stage application process, with stage one of the application process now open until the deadline of noon, 2 October 2020 and you can find the full details of the programme on the programme webpage
If you have any questions regarding the programme or the funding available to your constituents please email ccfwales@tnlcommunityfund.org.uk.
