Hannah Blythyn, Assembly Member for Delyn, paid a visit to Ysgol Maes Y Felin in Holywell to congratulate the successful artist behind the design for her annual Christmas card.

Cerys Daly, a Year Four pupil, was selected as the overall winning artist for her design of a homely Christmas scene.

Cerys’ design was selected from dozens submitted by primary schools across Delyn with winners also being selected from each year group at each school that entered.

As well as being chosen as the Assembly Member’s card illustration, Cerys was presented with a series of prizes including a framed version of her design.

Hannah Blythyn AM said: “It was good to join the pupils at Ysgol Maes Y Felin, Trelawnyd VA School and Ysgol Merllyn in Bagillt to present prizes to the winners of my Christmas card competition.

“I received lots of fabulous designs, making it a very difficult decision to pick a winner, but I’d like to wish Cerys special congratulations for her winning Christmas scene.

“I want to say thank you to every pupil that took part in this year’s competition and everyone should be proud of their contributions.”

The competition was kindly sponsored by Coleg Cambria, Printcentre Wales, Tata Steel, PG Framing and gap personnel.
